Americans Staying Longer in Homes

Recently released data indicates that the average homeowner in Georgia and around the US stays in his or her home for eight years before selling, a new record. During the first decade of the 2000s, American homeowners spent an average of only four years in a home before selling it. In most cases, the longer home sellers stay in a home, the larger the profit they realize when the property is sold.
