Georgia Home Sales Up Sharply in July

Despite the lowest housing inventory in the past twelve years, a recent report indicates that homes sales in Georgia and around the US rebounded sharply in July, following months of pandemic related slowdowns. July home sales were up nearly 9% compared to a year earlier. Although home sales generally peak earlier in the year, during the spring months, the Covid 19 pandemic pushed the peak home buying season into July. Record low home mortgage interest rates also contributed to the increase in home sales.
