Low Inventory and Mortgage Rates Drive Increasing Atlanta Home Sale Prices
According to a recent report, the median sales price of a metro Atlanta home in August was up nearly 15% when compared to a year earlier. The median sales price of a home in metro Atlanta rose to $287,000. Real estate analysts say that low home mortgage interest rates and low inventory contributed to higher sales prices, and all of the 50 plus metro areas across the country covered by the report reported an increase in median sales prices.
