Median Home Prices Rise in Metro Atlanta

The median home price in metro Atlanta rose 8.7 percent to $274,000 in April, up from $252,000 in April 2017 , according to the Atlanta Realtors Association. Fulton County, with a median home price of $380,000, is the most expensive county for real estate in metro Atlanta, but Gwinnett is the most acitve county for real estate sales. While demand for new homes has remained strong due to strong economic factors, especially in areas with highly rated school districts, supply remains tight, leading to competition among buyers and rising home prices.
