Metro Altanta Home Prices still Growing But at Slower Rate

Home prices in the Atlanta area are still increasing, but at a slower rate than in other large metro areas around the US. Although home prices have increased consistently during the past few years, the rate of increase started to decelerate in mid-2018. Atlanta home prices increased 4.7% in February when compared to a year earlier, the fourth largest increase among the 20 largest metro areas in the country. Analysts say a number of factors, including more homes on the market and affordability issues, are contributing to slower price increases.
