New Home Starts Up Over 11 Percent in December
While potential home buyers continue to face low inventory in many markets around the country, overall new housing starts in Georgia and around the US were up over 11 percent in December 2019 when compared with the previous month. Real estate market analysts expect the new inventory to be quickly absorbed as more millennials enter their prime homebuying years and low home mortgage interest rates and a healthy labor market continue to fuel demand for new homes, especially in entry level markets.
