Pending Home Sales Decline in Atlanta Area for Second Month in a Row

Pending home sales were down in the Atlanta area and across the South for the second month in a row in July, according to a recent report.  Lower home mortgage interest rates in July helped slow the pending sales decline, but low inventory in homes under $300,000 pushed more prospective home buyers out of the market.  If current job creation levels continue and home mortgage interest rates stabilize, real estate experts expect home sales to increase early in 2023.
