Permits For Single Family Homes Up, But Supply Chain, Labor Issues Delay Construction
Responding to the ongoing shortage of homes on the market in Georgia and around the country, builders this summer increased the pace of new home construction. Over half a million homes are currently under construction in the US, and permits for new homes are up nearly 10% when compared to last year. Worker shortages and supply chain issues, however, have slowed the rate of construction.
