Rates of African American Homeownership Rising
According to a recent report from the US Census Bureau, home ownership rates among African Americans are rising. In the 4th quarter of 2019, African American homeownership rates stood at 44 percent, up from 40.6% in the 2nd quarter of the year. The latest homeownership rate is the highest since 2012, when 44.5 percent of African Americans owned homes.
