Recent Median Home Price Increases in Georgia & U.S. Greatest in Urban Areas
Although the median sales price of homes across the country continued to rise in February across all location categories, urban homes experienced the largest price increases. Real estate experts say that while suburban homes were in higher demand during the peak of the pandemic as more people opted to work from home and schools started virtual classes, Covid 19 vaccinations are encouraging many potential home buyers to look at urban areas again. The median sales price rose 15.9% in urban areas, compared to 15.5% in suburban areas, and 14.3% in rural areas.
