Spring Best Time to Sell Home in Metro Atlanta
Spring remains the best season to sell a home in metro Atlanta and across the country. According to Zillow, homes that are listed for sale between May 1 and May 15 in metro Atlanta sell over 11 days faster and for 1.4 percent higher than homes listed at other times during the year. With a short supply of new homes available and competition increasing, market analysts expect a strong sellers market in the Atlanta area and across much of Georgia this spring. The winter holiday season remains the worst time to sell a home. With fewer buyers in the market and holiday distractions, homes do not sell as quickly during the winter months, and sellers are more likely to receive lowball offers.
