Atlanta Market Among Best for First Time Homebuyers
A new Zillow report lists the Atlanta market as one of the best in the country for first time home buyers, despite the current tight supply of entry level homes and a competitive market. The report, which analyzed affordability, expected appreciation, and competition among home buyers, lists Atlanta as the 8th best market for first time homebuyers in the US and suggests that buyers new to the market should continue looking for a new home to purchase, especially considering that home mortgage rates remain low. Tampa, Florida is listed as the best market in the country for first time homebuyers. California markets and other markets in the west ranked poorly due to high prices, low inventory of entry level homes, and a longer time for buyers to break even.
