Georgia Builder Confidence Declines as COVID 19 Supply Chain Distruptions, Economic Impacts Loom
Builder confidence in the Georgia housing market has been strong in recent months with low home mortgage interest rates and a continuing inventory shortage. Many home builders, however, have lowered their expectations for the spring season due to the impact of COVID 19. A third of builders surveyed in early March said they have experienced supply chain disruptions due to COVID 19, while others fear that the economic impacts of the virus, including stock market declines, will negatively affect demand in the coming months.
