Georgia Real Estate Analysts Expect Spring Return of Seller's Market

Following several years of a seller's market-- defined as a period when there are more home buyers attempting to buy residential property than there are homes on the market, leading to quick sales and higher prices for sellers--the Atlanta area housing market slowed in 2019. Many home sellers ended up selling their homes for less than they expected as market conditions evolved, and only 19% of homes in the area sold above the asking price in 2019, below the national rate. Real estate experts, however, expect the return of a seller's market this spring due to decreased inventory levels.
