Sellers Should Consider Staging Homes

Home sellers in the metro Atlanta area who stage their home rather than leaving it empty when it is on the market are often rewarded with quicker sales.

Staging a home involves hiring a professional home stager to place furniture throughout the home before it goes on the market, and there are many home stagers located in the Atlanta area.  Home sellers who are moving within the local Atlanta area can sometimes stage their own properties.

Staging gives propertie a sense of 'hominess' that's missing in vacant homes and helps potential home buyers envision themselves living in the home.  Having even a few pieces of furniture in the home can be effective.

Homes are still selling quickly in metro Atlanta with the current low home mortgage interest rates and low nventory, but sellers who stage their homes can expect even quicker sales, especially when competing with sellers of similar homes in their own neighborhood.

Home sellers who decide not to stage their homes should make sure that the property is extremely clean as dirt and dust will be more evident in an empty home.

Also, whether staging a property or not, sellers should keep all utilities turned on so that potential buyers can test faucets and appliances.   The thermostat in the home should be set at a comfortable temperature.
